This is a classic french old-vine red crafted off an assortment of ideal terroir: silty, alluvial topsoil over clay-limestone bedrock. The winemaker, Marc Penavayre, is a minimalist who ages his wines for 18 months in concrete to bring out their truest expression… unfiltered and unfined and HUMMING RIGHT OUT OF THE GATES.
